Attorney at law, Partner

Dennis Zieren

Specialisation

Dennis Zieren heads Ploum's IT and privacy practice. Through his experience of more than 25 years as a lawyer in the IT sector, he knows what can be expected from both suppliers and buyers. This knowledge and experience allows Dennis to move quickly when drafting, assessing or negotiating contracts as well as assisting clients in disputes. Dennis regularly litigates on the interpretation and/or termination of IT agreements.

In addition, part of Dennis' practice focuses on the intersection of IT law and procurement law. In this respect, he advises and/or litigates on behalf of both contracting authorities and tenderers.

Furthermore, Dennis advises clients on various privacy issues, including questions on processing grounds, opt-ins, processing of health data and (international) exchange of personal data. Dennis assists clients with extensive (national and international) compliance processes, dealing with data breaches (including claiming compensation for damages suffered) and performing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
