Karin works as a corporate law paralegal in the Notary section where she deals with notarial corporate law in general. In particular, she works on restructurings, legal mergers, demergers, transfers of shares (acquisitions) and amendments of articles of association, with a focus on the energy sector. She also handles incorporations and contributions of companies for SME entrepreneurs.
Karin started in the notarial profession in 1998 as a notarial secretary. In 2000/2001, she attended the introductory course for notarial assistants through “Stichting Opleiding Medewerkers in het Notariaat”. In June 2018 she joined Ploum as an experienced notarial secretary/assistant corporate law in the team of Jolande van Loon and since January 1, 2023 she has been working as a paralegal corporate law. In November 2022, she successfully completed (cum laude) the "Corporate Law" module of the Registered Clerk training program at the “Instituut voor Notarieel Medewerkers”.
In addition to legal knowledge, it's important to convey that knowledge to clients in a good and understandable way in order to achieve the desired goal together. That also fits well with a Rotterdam no-nonsense firm!
In 2022 organizing and orderly working out a file of about 95 amendments of articles of association for an energy company where the deeds had to pass within a certain time. Orderly working out very many mergers and demergers of different organizations in recent years.
