Last Friday, the AI Regulation, better known as the AI Act, was adopted after a long period of negotiations. The regulation is risk-based: AI systems are classified as prohibited, high risk, limited risk and minimal risk. It also includes rules for general purpose AI. On this, see our previous article

For now, the wait is on the publication of the final text. Two years after the publication of the final text, the AI Act will enter into force.
